Higher National Certificate (HNC Law)
What is HNC ?
 
Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a law programme which provides you foundational legal understanding before you can enroll into a Law Degree/Career, if you don't have required qualifications. This also allows you to start a Law Degree such as LLB after its successful completion. This course is a must if you looking to secure admission in LLB.
 
 
Entry Requirements 
 
HNC is for students who do not have a degree and intends to enroll in LLB or join legal profession. Therefore, you must be 18 years of age, have at least 4 GCSE or 12 years of education. We can also consider your application if you have an experience of work and not a formal education. Your English proficiency should also be above 6.0 IELTS. If you have problems in English Language, than you may need to take bridging course with BCPS Language School.
Course Content
 
The study structure is based on developing fundamental legal concepts of students, in Law. You can achieve this by relevant practice or studying at BCPS. BCPS Learn by Work Scheme is also available for students.

Career Path

 
Successful completion of HNC Law allows you to enter into final year of HND. This is a Level 5 Qualification on National Qualification Framework and count as 240 credits. You can get admission in our LLB programme with BCPS after successful completion, start law practice as Legal Executive, Paralegal, Legal Advisor, Probation officer. Full Career Counseling is provided by BCPS and guaranteed work placements are facilitated to successful candidates in our LWW (Learn With Work) Scheme.
 
Becoming Solicitor or Barrister is one of the career path of this course.
