Introdcution 
 
OISC Level 2 examination qualify you to become the accredited UK Immigration Case worker. The work permitted to Level 2 Case Worker is generally Immigration Case work. BCPS OISC Level 2 course is fully equipped with drafted notes in pdf files with key points and online scenario case practices.
Entry Requirements 
 
There are no specific entry requirements for taking OISC exam. You can take the exam if you have good command over English Language and have completed your basic education. BCPS prepare its students for competence in UK Immigration Law and as well in legal English understanding.
Course Content
 
BCPS OISC Level 2 course is designed to fully train the students. You will be provided with the drafted notes with key points and training will be conducted through case scenario Multiple Choice Questions which can be practiced online. For Drafting and office skills we have complete desgn of training, your Tutor will guide you through, and will individually supervise you.
 
The Course Content includes ;
 

Detailed knowledge of immigration and nationality law, including:

 

  • grounds for applications
  • The Home Office practice in the consideration of cases
  • The Home Office concessionary policies
  • grounds for lodging appeals including human rights grounds
  • procedures for human rights applications, e.g. One-Stop Notices.
 
  • European Convention on Human Rights , the Human Rights Act 1998 and other relevant law

 

  • Knowledge of asylum legislation and procedures, including the 1951 Refugee Convention, its 1967 Protocol and the UNHCR Handbook for determining refugee status.

 

  • Knowledge on bail and detention cases, detailed knowledge of the powers of the immigration authorities to grant bail or temporary admission, the procedures for obtaining bail and the Home Office's practice in the consideration of cases, including an awareness of the factors that must be taken into account when detaining an individual for immigration reasons.

 

  • Knowledge of relevant rights of appeal, time limits and procedures.

 

Career Path
 

Successful completion of OISC level 2 allows you to practice UK Immigration law in the following categories ;

 

Asylum and Protection

  • applications to the Home Office, including asylum and human rights applications and concessionary or discretionary applications

  • Case Resolution/Legacy Cases and Active Review

  • applications for Humanitarian Protection

  • representing clients in correspondence with the Home Office and at Home Office interviews

  • representations to the Home Office in support of cases

  • drafting client statements, including asylum statements

  • submitting One-Stop Notices

  • lodging notices of appeal and statements of additional grounds

  • applications for temporary admission and Chief Immigration Officers bail

  • family reunion applications

  • representations regarding ongoing or asylum casework to MPs

  • instructing a barrister or advocate for advice and to advise on drafting appropriate grounds of appeal (where permitted by the Bar Council).

 

Immigration

  • applications to the Home Office, including human rights applications and concessionary or discretionary applications

  • applications for Humanitarian Protection

  • representing clients in correspondence with the Home Office and at Home Office interviews
